I have to admit to everyone, I was SO NERVOUS for that training today!!! I didn’t touch on more than half of my teaching points because I was unable to see participants and build conversations. I think I will work on zoom going forward so we can have more interactions! However, at the end of the training, I made a fairly big announcement, but treated it fairly nonchalantly. And here goes nothing:
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how lonely coaching can feel.
Not always in the obvious ways. Not the big, dramatic moments. But in the small, everyday decisions—what to say in a timeout, how to respond when a player shuts down, whether to stick with your plan or adjust on the fly. The moments where you wish you could turn to someone and say, “What would you do here?”
And for many women in coaching, that feeling is amplified.
Because often, you’re not just figuring out what or how to coach.
You’re figuring out how to be a coach in spaces that weren’t built with you in mind. That can not only be physically exhausting, but also very hard on your mental health.
Why The Women Coaches Collective Exists
The Women Coaches Collective wasn’t built because women need something “different” in terms of our capability.
It was built because we deserve spaces where:
👉We can ask questions without feeling like we should already know the answer.
👉We can talk about the real challenges of coaching—not just the highlight reel that everyone sees.
👉 We can grow in our craft without feeling like we have to prove we belong first.
👉 Hear from other coaches that yes, they have been through a similar experience. You are literally AND figuratively not alone.
Too often, coaching education focuses on drills, systems, and outcomes.
But the actual work of coaching?
It’s human. It’s relational. It’s complex.
It involves hard decisions, being disliked, managing challenging situations and people, winning, losing, and failure. Feeling alone in this can make or break even the best coaches.
And it’s a lot harder to navigate when don’t have a community to lean on.
What This Is (And What It’s Not)
This isn’t another place telling you exactly how to coach. You are you, and what works for you and your program(s) won’t be the same as anyone else.
It’s not a one-size-fits-all system. There are many ways to have success in coaching.
It’s not a collection of “perfect” answers. There is no such thing!
It’s a space to:
✨ Think more deeply about your coaching, your philosophy, and your why
✨ Build confidence in your decisions – on and off the field
✨ Connect with other women who are doing the same work
Inside the Collective, we’re focused on:
⚡️How we design environments for learning
⚡️How we communicate with athletes
⚡️How we balance structure and freedom
⚡️How we stay aligned with what we actually believe about coaching
Because the goal isn’t to copy someone else.
The goal is to become a more intentional version of yourself.
Why It Matters
If we want better experiences for athletes, we need better-supported coaches.
Not just more information—but better conversations.
Not just more drills—but more understanding.
And if we want more women to stay in coaching, grow in coaching, and lead in coaching…
We have to create spaces where they’re supported in doing that.
An Invitation
If you’ve ever:
Questioned whether you’re “doing it right”, wanted to evolve your coaching but weren’t sure how, or felt like you were figuring it out on your own…
Know that you’re not alone.
And you don’t have to be.
The Women Coaches Collective is open now.
And if it feels like something you’ve been needing, I’d love to have you on the inside.
I hope you’ll join me – I’ve built March 2026, and am working now on April, for you.
